hello1234 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Hello! I am torn between the Masters in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown, or the Masters from JH School of Advanced International Studies. Which has a better reputation in the field? The scholarship offers from both are the same, so any input you have would be helpful!! For SAIS, its one year in Bologna one year in DC. (Georgetown is obviously two years in DC)
MissRachel Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I'm in the same situation - I'm torn between domestic programs (Yale, Tufts, Columbia) and JH SAIS (first year Bologna). I've heard mixed things about Georgetown's Conflict Res program - a friend of mine went there and said the program was relatively new and that they're working out some things. I applied to SAIS because I was interested in Conflict Res too - it seems like the program is flexible. Are you going to the Admitted Students' Days?
Jlefler Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I also am trying to decide between Georgetown's CR program and another school. Did either of you attend the open house?
yogabear13 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 From folks I know who have done both programs and from my DC job... I would pick SAIS (but that's all worth a grain of salt). I've heard the Bologna program is incredible too! The SAIS reputation can't be beat. Both are great programs though and you can't go wrong with either.
