2013 Official Decision Thread

Since we are steadily approaching April 15, I thought I'd go ahead and start the "official" decision thread for everyone to post where they're heading in the fall.  It just so happens that I submitted my official acceptance today...

It's UT-Austin for me!   B)

I think this thread should be exclusively geared toward reporting decisions. While I'm sure we all appreciate congrats and are glad to give advice, threads like these are useful for future cohorts for finding students who are at their interested schools and we should try to make it as easy as possible to navigate. The "Decision-making time?" thread is probably the appropriate place to ask for decision advice. Lets try to keep this thread focused exclusively on decision reporting as much as possible.

Turned down the University of Pennsylvania and will be heading to the University of Washington in the fall. My decision was based largely on my family situation-- I have a young child and have a huge support system in Seattle. I was sad to turn down Penn, but I'm also excited for the UW, and know I made the right decision...

My research interests are in stratification and health, and in racial health disparities.
