hustlebunny Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Hi all, For those who did their visa apps before they got res/ accommodation, which address did you put for the online application?
an11 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Hi...I put the address of the contact person mentioned on my I-20, which was basically the address of the university itself. I've already received my visa, so I guess that's pretty much the norm.
St Andrews Lynx Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I did the same as an11 - my I-20 had the name & address of the head of the university's International Student Centre. The address where I was living on the DS-160 was the university address (given the amount of time I'm going spend at the grad school on a daily basis, it's kinda the truth anyway... ) phmhjh85 1
Andean Pat Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Mmmm for my i-20 I entered my current address and when asked about my address in the States, I put the apartment I leased. I only entered the address of the person that signed my I-20 when asked this specifically.
DeleteMePlease Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 So the address on the DS-160 is more of a contact address than a permanent address I guess? Who did you put as sponsor of your trip? I wonder if I can put my institution aswell as I receive full financial support...
b1234 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I am applying for F1 visa, MS program. I have a doubt regarding "person paying for your trip" section in DS-160. My 2 yr total expense will be $70k. I am showing $50k in my account + $20k in uncle's account. which ideally should have been "self+sponsor" as its shared. I didn't found a "self+sponsors" option in the DS-160 form so I have mentioned "self". I have taken a visa slot also. Should I fill a new DS-160 ? Only available options in the form are: * self * other person * company/organisation I don't find an exact match for my situation. Seniors any suggestions ?
