crazyhappy Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Hi, I need to submit an abbreviated c.v. to apply for some funding for a conference. By definition, I would think this would be a shortened version of my c.v., but does any one have any clue as to how long it should be, and what I should include on it? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
Roquentin Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I had to prepare a few of those this spring. One had a word limit - 300 words. I included my contact and education info, select publications, and presentations in the past year. I crammed it onto a single page. I shortened two others to 3 pages. Because they were conference-related (one went to a panel organizer, the other into a funding application), I included my entire presentation history along with my contact and education info and all publications. crazyhappy 1
crazyhappy Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Thank you! That's very helpful. I'm thinking I should leave off my research interests and references?
rising_star Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Yes, definitely leave both of those off an abbreviated CV. crazyhappy 1
