Guest criminologist
I just took the GRE today and found out I got a 156 on both verbal and math. Just wondering is there any possibility that the official scores would change when I get them? This is my first time taking.
Guest Gnome Chomsky
No. Those are your official scores. When you get your "official" scores in the mail in 2 weeks, it'll be the verbal and math score you saw when you finished the GRE, the percentiles of each of those, your analytical writing score, and your analyrical writing percentile. timmyz
I just took the GRE (computer based) on Aug 24, 2013 and I am waiting for my official score. Unofficial score - Verbal - 157 Math - 151 gz390, can you confirm when you get your official report and let me know if it actually changed? Also need to know how long it's taking to receive the official report online.

Also need to know how long it's taking to receive the official report online. I checked the GRE website last night and saw my official scores. They didn't change. I took the test on 8/17 so about 8 days to get the official scores online. Edited August 26, 2013 by gz390 timmyz
timmyz
Thanks a lot gz390!! This makes me more relieved, I hope mine show up as fast as well! Do you think it matters that I'm based in Canada, it might take longer for me? (In theory it shouldn't because everything is electronic!) Also, how fast do you think the universities will get the score? Do they get it electronically or by mail? (If mail, it would take considerably longer for some universities right?) Please advise. Guest criminologist
I think up to 3 weeks maybe after you get your scores?? right now mine still says pending next to the schools I put. I believe it is in the mail b/c on their website they show a sample of the score report institutions receive and it looks like it is printed on paper. http://www.ets.org/s/gre/pdf/institution_score_report.pdf
NothingButTheRain
I received mine (electronically) in six days. That may be partially attributed to late June being something of an off-season for the GRE... hopefully for the Canucks it's sent electronically to the schools. perfectionist
It took me about 2 weeks to get mine. And yeah, they didn't change.
wandajune
Those should be the official scores. My scores didn't change from the "unofficial" scores received after the test and the official scores I received 10 days later.
