annika
I took time off between high school and college to pursue a career as a professional dancer (a bad idea with my particular knee injury, I quickly learned after 6 months). As a result, I started college in the spring semester, not the fall, and graduated in 3.5 years, not 4. I no longer dance and my intended degree in sociology has almost nothing to do with my dance career. Is it worth explaining the rushed undergrad, or should I just leave it out? TakeruK
No, I don't think 0.5 years is a big enough gap to warrant explaining! If you have a good reason to bring it up in the SOP then it won't necessarily be bad, but I don't think you need to bring it up just because it's a gap. MsDarjeeling
Nope that isn't necessary to explain in your sop. The only place that might come up may be in an interview and I doubt even that.
