aridneptune Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 When do you all think it's appropriate to take the PowerPrep ETS practice GRE tests? I recognize that this is somewhat of a fraught topic. I'm taking the GRE on Sept 28th. Thus far, I've taken about 10 practice tests (ETS paper tests and Kaplan), done around a thousand practice problems (Nova GRE Bible, Manhattan 5-pound Book, Kaplan practice problems, online resources like MajorTests and so forth). I understand that the ETS PowerPrep tests are the best practice resource. How late should I take them? I have two weekends and 2 1/2 weeks left until my exam. Thoughts welcome.
obviousbicycle Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I am in the exact position as you. I've done 8 practice tests (still have some left) and I have yet to take Powerprep. I would love to see some responses from those who have taken it!
justsomeguy75 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 The way I personally did was to work non-stop a month and take PowerPrep each wednesday of the week to see how I improved -- it was very very helpful. The thing is that there is only 2 tests and I doubt very much that they are adaptive like during the real GRE.
