Yes! Applied to NYU for the 16-month accelerated. Really wanted to apply to Hunter but they pretty much told me that unless I had a lot of experience, I shouldn't bother with their accelerated program. Bummed about that.

Where are you guys applying to?

I've called Hunter a couple times... they originally said I'd hear within a week of my interview.  But I had my interview just over 2 weeks ago now.  Bummer.  Was the only place I applied.

Guess it'll be fall 2014.

hopefully you'll hear back soon! i've read on this blog that people have waited way longer than expected and still got in.

do you have a lot of direct experience? i really wanted to apply to hunter but they were so clear about not bothering for the accelerated spring program unless you had ample experience in the field. i didn't have much so i figured i wouldn't bother. i'm curious about others who did apply though!

yeah there is probably a small chance i'll still hear something positive.

i have a year full time as a behavioral health specialist / eating disorder clinician and a year of psych research. everyone i interviewed with seemed to have a similar amount if not more

no news on your apps yet? when are you supposed to hear? such a hard wait :)

I only applied to NYU and I'm supposed to hear within a week or two. I'm nervous because this is a career change for me. Aside from volunteer work with an indigenous community in the amazon for a little over year, my background lies primarily in advertising/people management/HR.

Was Hunter the only school you applied to? I'm holding my fingers crossed for you!

and my are crossed for you! :)

hunter was the only school i applied to for the spring semester because it's the only school i was entirely certain i wanted to attend.

nyu and columbia are so expensive that i wouldn't want to commit to them unless i knew it was my only option.

wow- your volunteer work sounds incredible.   i'm sure that's a very unique experience to have under your belt.  hope it serves you well.

Could anyone tell me when you submitted your applications? I applied to Hunter, NYU, and Columbia for the accelerated program. I see that some people have already had their admissions interview at Hunter whereas my status has not changed. Does this mean anything? Thanks.

i submitted my application to nyu on the 1st of october and according to the site, it was complete and sent for review on the 4th. i haven't heard from them yet.

memoose - i hear you on the $$. i have no idea how i'm going to pay for it yet!

zizek!85 - have you heard from nyu/or columbia? when did you submit yours?

I submitted all of my apps the day before they were due. My NYU status was updated to "sent for review" soon after submitting but have heard nothing since. I received an email from Columbia a few days ago that my application was complete and ready for review. My Hunter application still says submitted (although I have nothing outstanding).

congratulations!!!! i also just found out that i got into NYU!!

for those still waiting: i never got an email or anything but when i logged onto the site, i saw a link all the way at the bottom saying that my application status was available online, even though application status at the top still said 'complete and sent for review'. hope this helps!
