OrangeTowel Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I've been accepted to the terminal master's program at Yale and Columbia Mechanical Engineering. I am interested in exploring robotics as my concentration. I have my own set of pros and cons but I am simply interested in general thoughts that people have about these two programs. Comments on things such as quality/number of courses offered, the type of research I can get involved in even though it's only a year, or simply the overall graduate experience etc. I simply want to see if there are factors that I have overlooked and just get a general feeling about how other people perceive these two programs. Thanks.
yyemperor Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Yale, please. You are so excellent... I plan to apply for Harvard, but I didn't. I only got Columbia and UPenn Mechanical Engineering. But if I were you, I will go to Yale because both Columbia and Yale are not very strong in ME, then why not choose the "HYP" ?
heymanyo Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Neither is considered that amazing in Engineering, but I guess Yale has more of a "name". Also, I'd imagine it's cheaper to live in New Haven than Manhattan.
