Thanks :] No idea at the moment. Hopefully school visits will help make the decision easier. Do you have any opinions?

Hello, still waiting for Cornell's response. I believe since they sent admission offers last week that it's going to be a wave of rejections now  :( Does that seem likely?

Hey, I'm still waiting to hear back from Cornell as well! I would expect a rejection..

Nevermind, just got an e-mail from them to check my application status online, and I was accepted :D. Good luck to all those who are still waiting!

Hi, congrats, you have so many offers. Which one do you prefer? I am asking because I am on the waiting list of Columbia IEOR. Thank you.

Hi there.

Anybody admitted with/without funding to the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Texas A&M (TAMU)?? Just please tell me if they have mentioned a date by which you have to accept/decline their offer. It's vital for me, so please help!

Thanks a million.

Most major universities in the US have agreed not to require students to give an answer to admission offers prior to April 15.

You're probably right but the professor has asked me to decide on his offer in the next week! :(

It's somehow complicated for me since I haven't heard from Georgia Tech and Univ. of Michigan anything yet...

Hey guys

I posted the following question on statistics forum but I also want to ask the same one here.

Is there anyone who knows the STAT-OR department of UNC-Chapel Hill in detail??

The department provides three programs that are STAT, OR(Operations Research), and INSTORE(Interdisciplinary STAT and OR), and there is each admission director for each program.

Here, what I want to know is whether the ultimate admission decisions of all three programs would be done simultaneously??

That is, all three programs send out admission results at the same time?

The solution may be simple! Just explain your situations honestly. I guess they will understand and extend the time frame for your decision. But what matters is the official deadline for your decision and I cannot think that you are required to decide before April

Thank you :) I'm not sure yet. I'm hoping visiting the schools will make the decision easier. Good luck with your applications!

I heard Michigan will be releasing decisions soon.

Thanks for the good news, my friend! So it seems that the graduate weekend visit has already been made... Do you think they will answer by the end of this week or the next week? Do you have any news about the Georgia Tech by the way?

They don't invite international students to the graduate weekend visit as far as I am aware, so don't worry about that. I'm not sure about the exact timing of when decisions will be released, I was just told by a professor that it will be relatively soon. I didn't apply to Georgia Tech, nor have I heard anything about it, sorry.

Yeah GA Tech's weekend is next weekend.  I assume they will send out results within a week or two of that.  I'll have a better idea after the weekend.

Hi there!

I see in the Results section that somebody has received RA from USC. Can you tell me if you had any interview or close contact with professors there?

Thank you so much.

Samato, I've heard nothing yet from Penn State. Also heard nothing yet from Pitt.

I do have an interview next week with Lehigh University ISE, though.

I applied to the IE program, but I know from other people that they sent email requests for interviews in mid February (for the supply chain and operations phd program.)

Yes. I did see few were invited for interviews. How long do they take before start sending out acceptances after interviews?

I emailed Penn State's IE dept. yesterday and they said the review committee is reveiwing applicants this week. They said applicants should expect to be informed of their decisions in a week or two. Now that's a long wait!
