Hey!

I am interested in applying to schools for masters in Development Studies or International Development. I have already applied to the graduate institute, Geneva, Sciences Po Paris and SOAS. I am thinking to apply to oxford as well.

Hence my question is, does anybody know some good schools for The course apart from the ones I mentioned. I missed an opportunity for applying last year and therefore want to cover all great schools. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am applying to all the programs you mentioned as well for Dev Studies or International Development. I am also applying to 2 other UK schools LSE and UCL (International Public Policy)

This is a nerve wrecking process and I'd like to compare my experiences with someone applying to similar programs.

Well I completely understand. Though I have met many people who asked me to not apply to lse. I started the application but I am still wondering if I should or not. Anyway not trying to dissuade you or something.

So anyway, I completed my applications for IHEID and Sciences PO. Finally. What's your status? Almost done with SOAS too. Oxford is taking time with two additional essays and all.

Are you applying to American schools as well?

Btw, I came across your posts in a different topic and your career goals are so much similar to mine. :D

Have you applied to School for International Training? I understand their work and academics are heavily-development focused. I've met a few alumni who can vouch for it as a great source of training and education in development studies. Also, while not called a "development" degree, I recall looking into University of Oregon's International Studies graduate program, which basically seems to be mostly-development-focused.
