Master in Statistics - Which school?

I got accepted to both San Jose State University and CSU East bay for the Statistics master program..and I can't decide which school is better or has a better reputation forthe Statistics program..

San Jose State has the advantage of being in Sillicon Valley so there will be more companies surrounding the area, however, their statistics program is pretty new and just started in Fall 2011, so I'm not sure how good the program is,, whereas the alumni from CSU East bay seems to be finding jobs okay upon graduation and are doing well in the industry... But I've heard that the reputation for CSU East Bay is not good...

Does anyone have any experience with those two schools or know anyone that have went to those school for a master in Stats? How did they think of the program?

Any advice is appreciated!!

For what it's worth, I'm from the Bay Area and SJSU has a great reputation.  I'm a business major so not familiar with the statistics programs at the referenced schools however you can't go wrong with SJSU.  The entire Bay Area is pretty much all connected so I wouldn't be too concerned geographically where in the Bay you attend school as masters from SJ will be just as relevant for a company in San Francisco as will a masters from the East Bay in Silicon Valley.  I hope this helps from a Bay Area natives perspective.

Both schools will give you the education you need to be successful. San Jose State University might provide connections with people who will be wealthier after graduating from college (because so many are wealthier going in) so you might have more opportunities in that respect,  so i suggest San Jose State University

CSU East Bay is in Hayward, right? That's not too far from the Silicon Valley! But as others have suggested, both schools are great and will meet your needs... if I were in your shoes, I might chose SJSU just because it has a better reputation. I'm not sure if potential employers will look at your resume and think, "But CSU East Bay's stats program is better...."

Maybe there will be other aspects about the school that can help you decide! Like the faculty, or the layout of the school, the tuition, the school spirit...
