I scored a V159/Q158/W4.0

Is this too low to be admitted into the Top20-Top50 schools? I wish to apply to the lesser ranked University of California's within the next month and am starting to doubt my chances.

Thanks guys, just very nervous at the moment

Your GRE score isn't make or break. So much more depends on your GPA, your personal statement, your recommendations, etc. If you're concerned about cutoffs, e-mail the programs you're interested in and find out if your scores will exclude you; re-take it again if you really want to, but keep in mind, this is a VERY small part of your application. GRE scores by themselves don't tell anyone anything.

Nope. I have the same Q and AW score while my Verbal is lower (157).

I got into Virginia Tech - which is a high ranked civil engineering program (in the top 10 according to US News website).

Best of luck!

Graduate school admissions seem more and more like the lottery every day. I'd say go for it and re-take the GRE if you don't get in this year.

Wow, I truly appreciate your help everyone. I'm applying to UC's(Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Riverside) which span from 28th to 56th in rank. Here goes nothin!

Applying for Master's. My ultimate goal is a PhD, but definitely lack the research experience of a competitive candidate.
