ladyoflight17 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Hello, I am applying to Syracuse at the very LAST minute ! One of their application questions is the following: Please comment below on your previous college grades as an index of your abilities. Any advice on how I can tackle this? Thanks in advance
sahura2001 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Hello, I am struggling with the same questions. I am not sure if the intent of this question is to give the applicant an opportunity to explain any bad grades. I would be great to get some input from our fellows. Thank you in advance,
merwala Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I have the same question to answer for Syracuse. Any new input ? what are they looking for in this question. is it mandatory to answer it? what if i dont have anything relevant to comment on? Thanks!
browncow Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 This seems pretty straightforward to me. Positive trend --> comment on your improvement Negative trend --> explain Flat --> comment on your consistent hard work Break down by major or whatever else might be useful.
Crucial BBQ Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 To add to brown cow: I would also use the prompt as an opportunity to discuss course selection; why I choose the electives I took; rigor of course; and so on.
