I just received an e-mail from mine saying there might be a position open in the fall but she's not sure and good luck on my application. I feel like most people have ongoing communication with their POI. Anything I should do? I kind of want her to like me enough to contact the admissions board about me if we talked more. I was hoping that would give me a better chance of getting in Haha yea I think we're all too deep in it for our fix to disappear this season. I think just a quick reply would do fine. Nothing fancy. Thanks for the encouragement, information, etc. Reiterate how much you'd want to be a part of the program etc. etc. I'm touchy about having contact with professors for fear of seeming overeager, but it varies discipline to discipline. This is absolute psychological warfare, and I can't tell if logging in to this forum is therapeutic or self-destructive.... they say catharsis only makes it worse for people... After putting my forum use on hold for a couple of days I can pretty much confirm that it all feels better when you stay away from Grad Cafe.
