Thought I'd make this thread for a general discussion of the field. I'd be interested in hearing more about what fellow Latin Americanists are working on/how their programs are going/ resource sharing, etc.

I'll start. I'm a first year student who works on us Latin american relations and the role of the catholic church in Latin america

I'm a colonial Latin Americanist. I primarily work on slavery, African-indigenous interactions, and law in the Andes and Brazil.
