Hey Guys, I've recently been looking at admission rates in EE MEng at Princeton, and the stats are surprising me.

The stats are linked here http://www.princeton.edu/gradschool/about/docs/ratestable/tablea/ELE_MENG.pdf

For example it says that in the past two years:

 2011-2012: Applied= 114, Admitted = 2, Percent Admitted  2%
 2012-2013: Applied= 139, Admitted = 1, Percent Admitted  1%

For even earlier years, the admit rate is much higher ~10-20%.

I know Princeton's EE program is not bad but not that top notch either, yet their admit rate is really been crazy these past few years. What do you guys think?

WOW. Thanks for posting this.  I got rejected from the CEE M.Eng. program a few days ago, and after looking at the CEE M.Eng. stats (I just replaced ELE with CEE in the URL) now I don't feel so bad.  Wish I had seen this earlier.  I wouldn't have bothered applying.  What a scam!

Np.... I don't understand the motivation for them to reject so much!

It does seem that they heavily are against admitting international students though overall. Considering Princeton's lack-luster reputation in Engineering in general... it is a bit too harsh
