md152 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I have been accepted to a Phd program at a top 50 university for geology. I could not be more excited. However, I have completly run out of money and have had to take on two jobs. I am taking three very difficult classes ( cal based physics 2, and two other science courses) this semester while working about 40 hours a week. Needless to say, I am not doing well in my classes. There is a small chance that I could end up with all C's. As it stands my GPA is 3.73. I'm freaking out that the school might recend their offer. They did not say anything about having to keep my GPA at a certain leval. Anyone heard of this hapening? Ugh!
CulturalAnth Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I am having the same problem! Mine is, I was taking a couple summer classes, and my father passed away unexpectedly when it was too late to drop the classes (derailed my life!), so they are Fs. I've asked counselors and profs about this, and they have all told me that it will likely not matter. If they haven't said anything, and you've been accepted without any conditions, don't worry! You are IN! spectastic 1
