APryhod Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I applied to several universities, including McGill for my MA in Political Science. I've been accepted to all the others, but have not heard back from McGill! my status is currently in 'under review', and my deadlines for decisions re. accepting or declining to the other universities is coming up fast! Has anyone been accepted to the MA in polisci program at McGill yet? or does anyone know when I'll hear from them with their decision? ps. sent an email to them to try and find out if they have started offering admission or when they will be (roughly), no response as of yet.
CarefreeWritingsontheWall Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 As a current student from McGill, and having heard from my advisor himself (I'm an undergraduate honors student), they're behind in reviewing applications and completing their selection process. As we're on reading week this week, I wouldn't expect extremely fast response times. I would expect them to review apps and meet after the break (March 11th) so you might here within the next week to two weeks max. I believe they're aiming to let everyone know by March 15th but I could be wrong. hemingways_abs and gorki 2
marika287 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I have applied as well, but still under review. On the results page, last year, people got answers from March 12th, but since they seem late, i'm not optimist that we'll have answers next week :/
APryhod Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Thanks for the help! I (just) recieved a message from the graduate officer, they will be meeting on March 11th to review their final decisions then the results will follow that week or the following. Fingers crossed, and best of luck!
Mount Royal - Montreal Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Hello! I have been accepted last week in the Master of Arts in Political Science at McGill University but I applied to two different options, the Development Studies Option and the European Studies Option. At the moment, I have no information concerning my chances of being accepted in these options. Anyone has some information about the admission process in these concentrations? How does it work? How competitive is it? I have also been accepted in the Master of Arts in Political Science at University of British Columbia and in the Maîtrise en science politique at Université de Montréal but I am likely to refuse those offers as McGill University is my top choice for the moment. I am only waiting for Sciences Po Paris now. Thank you for your help and good luck to all of you!
APryhod Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 I'm not sure about the options, I didn't apply for them. Did you get your "official letter" yet and status changed on your application?
