girlengineer Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 V-153 Q-162 I am an engineering major so I'm very upset with my Q score. For all the practice exams I got above 166 so I have no idea what happened. I feel like I froze during the exam and my brain stopped working. My GPA is 3.66 but would these low scores have a significant impact on my app to UPenn?
bsharpe269 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 They're probably on the lower side of what they are looking for so I doubt they will hurt or help. If the rest of your application is solid then I don't think they will keep you out

So, did you get accepted??
rabbitweasel Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 They may be a bit weak but if the rest of your application is good, GPA is good, then you should be fine. I got into Georgia Tech's CS with a 151V 163Q 5.0W for F14. People tend to score a bit lower during the action test due to pressure than during the practice tests. I experienced this myself.
starofdawn Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I, too, scored much lower during the actual exam than on practice tests. But I got accepted to UCSD with a 160 quant score! Not sure if UPenn is ranked higher than UCSD in CS, but I hope it shows that your quant score is not too low to be accepted to good schools.
