slphopefully Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Does anyone know much about the program? I've been told it's pretty prestigious and well known, but I would love some input from others so I can decide if it's the program for me.
MaxSLP Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) I recieved an acceptance email in late February. I'm not sure if they're all done with first round acceptances but I know one other student who hasn't heard from them yet. I'll just say that I agree with everything MNIJ said except about the area which I don't really know about. I'll add that they even have their own preschool program in the same building. So yeah, it's a great place for clinical training. Edited March 11, 2014 by MaxSLP
PsycD Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) I graduated from UMD. MNIJ is right...the area around the school is not the greatest. It's actually not very nice at all. When I transfered there, I commuted from my Annapolis home until I graduated. If you don't mind a commute, there are other places you can live. My commute was about 35 minutes, which I didn't mind at all. MD/DC is a commuting area, so you're used to it if you're from here. Good luck! Edited March 11, 2014 by PsycD
