Is now too soon to contact professors that I would like to be my advisor? Or, should I wait until my first semester? I'm the first in my family to obtain a grad degree, so this is a new experience for me and I don't have anyone around to ask. optimistic09 Posted April 15, 2009 Share Posted April 15, 2009 I don't think it is ever too early. I started contacting people well before I even applied. Plus many professors are applying for and finding out about funding right now, so this would be the perfect time.
