awkwardsparkle Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I interviewed at UMB on February 20th, and was told the Department would be in contact "over the next few weeks". Last week I sent an email to the Graduate Coordinator for my program just to touch base and see if she had any information about when I could expect to hear, and got no response. It's been almost a week since I sent that email. My application status on the website is "Complete Ready for Review". Has anyone heard anything from GPiLS this year? I saw on the results search one rejection from late February but otherwise, has anything moved? They're the last school I'm waiting to hear from, and it's getting close to decision time for other acceptances.
EEpa Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I called my department staff, I'm a Bio applicant because I never got a response to me inquiry email either. What I was told for my program was that acceptances had been sent out but the incoming class was not full. So if you haven't heard anything you were on hold, basically wait list. You may be in a similar situation. When I called the woman I spoke with was very helpful so I would say call and ask if you want updated.
awkwardsparkle Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the advice to call! I did, and apparently they're not done making decisions for my program yet... a little late in the game, no? Edited March 25, 2014 by awkwardsparkle
EEpa Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Yeah the only info I've been able to get was through calling. I had, what I thought, were pretty good connections with my POIs there but they are yet to answer my email asking for updates. It's hard to be patient, but looks like there's no other choice!
Der Strudel Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I was offered admissions two days ago, but will be attending elsewhere. Before that I was in the same boat as you guys. Great looking program...it was a tough decision
