zaphyr Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Hi, I got accepted to a PhD in EE at TAMU. since then I have been looking forward to hearing about funding details. Anybody else in the same boat? Or they send out offers outright after admission? Is there any specific schedule to hear about RAs?
GeoDUDE! Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) all my funding has been in the offical letter from the department, IE after my POIs have told me i got in. Edited March 28, 2014 by GeoDUDE!
zaphyr Posted March 28, 2014 Author Posted March 28, 2014 The official acceptance letter? Or it's different than acceptance letter?
GeoDUDE! Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Acceptance letter from the department. Typically there are two: one from the department and one from the graduate school. zaphyr 1
iphi Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Totally different field, but it has usually taken about a month for me to hear anything about funding. At the school I've ultimately chosen to attend it was about 6 weeks between receiving my (departmental) acceptance to receiving a funding offer. Quite nervewracking! zaphyr 1
peachypie Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 My funding was included in my official acceptance letter which I received shortly after hearing the "positive news is on the way" e-mail from my contacts. So within a week of my unofficial acceptance or with the official acceptance letter.
the_sheath Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I got my funding info 12-24 hours after my acceptances. Though I did get something about an NSF fellowship roughly 2 weeks after an initial funding offer.
