So.. I have acceptances from both Columbia MS&E and the Dartmouth MEM and am trying to decide which might be a better fit. While I have a financial aid offer to dartmouth, I have none from columbia which would make it definitely more expensive to go to columbia. But i think columbia would be better in terms of career opportunities (maybe?)

What do you guys think?

If I'm not wrong - MS&E = mat sci & eng and MEM = masters in engineering management

Two very different programs! Are these two engineering disciplines ranked evenly in your book?

MS&E is actually management science and Engineering.

Ah! I see.

I'm not very knowledgeable about Engineering management degrees, but as an outsider... Columbia and Dartmouth both have the "ivy league" title. They seem pretty similar to me, I wouldn't have known that Columbia is ranked higher unless you told me. Hope my opinion helps.

Dartmouth is an excellent school and it's generally best practice to follow the money.
