AlHayat Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 Hi All, Decided to accept an offer down south, but just found out that i'm pregnant. What are the chances they would let me defer? A lot of programs do not allow you to defer because of the nature of their programs (small, each candidate chosen with an eye toward how they would fit in with current students.) It may be on the website... But even if it says they don't allow it, you might want to talk to faculty there anyway to see if it could be possible. I'm supposed to talk to the Chair tomorrow, but I am nervous that he will most certainly say "No" for exactly the reasons you stated. : ( We'll see......
