End of Year Celebrations

Do you keep it classy and tame since, you know, you're an adult now? Or do you get blackout drunk like the undergrads?

How do you celebrate completing another (or your first) year of grad school?

The only difference now that I'm old is that I can't really party the day I'm done - I'm just too exhausted.  But after a day or two of recovery I'll be celebrating with copious drinks.

Given that I am graduating this year, I am definitely not keeping it classy.  I plan to get pretty wasted.

 

In past years, I have kept it pretty classy though.

I graduated last Wednesday. The local dive bar is throwing me a party tonight since I'm moving on Sunday. I'm moving from Miami to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the summer to work before moving to Seattle to start grad school. I just showed up and there are a lot of people here. Should be fun.

My birthday is today, so for me it always marks the end of the academic year (more or less). I combine celebrating my birthday with partying at the end of the year
