ccinnnc Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I will be taking the GRE on 7th August. I will send my scores to schools if they are good enough, however I'm not sure about the cut-off scores of the PhD programs in Psychology. I would really appreciate if you could enlighten me with the minimum GRE scores that the schools accept.
Gvh Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 A lot of departments will detail their minimum GRE scores on the application websites; Magoosh also has a tentative list here: http://magoosh.com/gre/2013/gre-scores-for-top-universities/
Applemiu Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I think this is the working link: http://magoosh.com/gre/2013/gre-scores-for-top-universities/
juilletmercredi Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Most PhD programs don't have cut-off scores. If the website doesn't say that they have one, it's likely they don't have one. They will consider your application holistically - and they want the flexibility to consider, say, an otherwise outstanding applicant who has a 152 V/159 Q or something. My department (Columbia) explicitly says that they strongly encourage students to try to get a 310+ (155 per section) on the GRE.
