Flux2 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 So for around 3~4 months I've experienced 2 different microfluidic labs just for my interest. I haven't necessarily conducted research enough to say that I've done something or able to receive a LOR because my primary intent was to just to see how research is like in an engineering lab. I've indeed done participated in a primary research lab for 2years but wasn't sure whether to include the experience I had for such a short period time in my SOP or resume.

Crucial BBQ Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Yes, you can. I would briefly mention why you sought those positions and what you gained from them if even just to have learned what kind of research you do not want to do.
