Flux2 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 So I'm currently a senior and planning to apply for grad school this year. My question is if I have done most of the course work for my second major but haven't officially added it just because I wasn't not sure whether I will be able to fulfill the requirements until I see the schedule for next spring, In this case shall I just add it anyways before I submit my application? Do adcom like to see the secondary major included? or is just the course work itself sufficient?
iphi Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 No, focusing on research would be a much better use of your time.
Vene Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 There's no need at all for more than one major. Do well in the one you have (unless you're wanting to do a pretty drastic jump to a different field of interest).
bsharpe269 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 if the second compliments your research interests really well and you are only a couple classes away from completing it then sure, I see no reason to add it. If adding it will require significantly extra work though that like others have said, that time would be much better spent on research.
