Hi again all,

There was a rejection posted from University of Wisconsin Educational Policy PhD.  Anyone have other news about that? Man, this is making me anxious!

allinduetime- how did Pitt notify you? I applied to their Learning Sciences and Policy program and am so anxious to hear back!

I had a phone interview 2 weeks ago and then received a letter in the mail a week later.

I just received an official notification from UW-Madison that I was admitted to their Educational Policy Studies program.  I am very excited but am unsure about funding.  The department could not offer me any financial aid but stated that most students get assistance-ships in other departments.  If anyone has information about this, it would be much appreciated!

Hello everyone! I noticed a rejection from UIUC in Education PhD on the Results Page... I didn't hear back yet. Anyone else applied to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign? I applied to their Social & Cultural Foundations PhD program.

I got rejected from Vanderbilt yesterday.  That's the only one of the seven programs that I've applied to.  It was my "why not try" school so I'm not too surprised.  Here's hoping we hear back from some others soon!

also Rejected here. wondering the reasons.

I wasn't the one who posted about the interview, but I interviewed for the Teaching and Learning program on 1/26.

congrats on getting an interview, and thanks for replying! I applied to the Sociology of Education program but haven't heard a peep, which I'm assuming doesn't bode well.

Thanks and no problem!! There's always a chance that Teaching and Learning and Sociology of Education are on completely different timelines, so you never know! (I wish programs were more transparent about the whole process, though.)

whoopdeedoo, have you heard anything from NYU after the interview?? I am still waiting!

Anyone heard from Stanford??

I received an unofficial admittance a few days after my interview (thrilled!). My POIs (who interviewed me) were super great and transparent about the process, so I knew I was going to hear back, whatever the result, within a week.

I haven't heard anything from Stanford, so I'm going to guess this isn't a good sign.

it seems like at least one person who got into Stanford got in without an interview, so maybe it's not a bad thing not to have heard anything yet? If previous years' patterns hold, I feel like we should hear this week, though!

In late Jan I got an email from the program I applied to saying that I would hear something by the 2nd week of February: either I would be admitted or rejected (early admission), or they might defer until May. We are past the 2nd week of Feb and I haven't heard anything either way. I'm glad that many of you are getting some good news!

Just got my acceptance for Columbia, PhD in History of Education! I really can't believe it. DREAM PROGRAM and after being rejected from Harvard and Stanford, I had lost all faith. But fit is really all that counts. Keep hoping guys!

Congrats!  That is so awesome!  I am currently living in NYC so send me a message if you need any living or visiting advice.

Thanks! Currently trying to figure out financials because it looks like TC doesn't fund graduate students... And they sent me no info regarding funding so I assume it means I didn't get a scholarship. Regardless, I feel blessed!
