debster Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 My daughter is applying for Fall 2015. She is currently in her third year of undergrad, but started college with a lot of credits, and is graduating this May. My question is, if she is applying now, her Fall grades won't even be available yet (until Dec/Jan), let alone her last semester. So, would her "last 60 hrs" really be from her first two years?
SLPH2b Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I'm pretty sure her last semester would be included in the "last 60 hours." There are some schools with deadlines not until January so they'll still allow you to submit her Fall grades. For the schools with deadlines in December, some schools will mention that you can send Fall grades when you receive it. If I remember correctly, CSDCAS has a specific amount of time where you can update your Fall grades ("Academic Update" or something) and then you would need to send an official transcript that would include those Fall grades ASAP!
vheart Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I also had a question about the last 60 units, I already graduated with my BA in comm. disorders but I took some classes after my graduation at a local community college, do those count? Or is it just the last 60 of your undergrad degree?
twinguy7 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I would email any SLP grad program and ask the same question about last 60 units. We can all speculate but the schools you are applying to can tell you the real answer. I would say it is the last 60 units no matter what. They wanna see how well you are doing in classes for the past 2 years. If you did not do too well in the post bacc classes, then discuss this in your statement letter. vheart 1
