plink21 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Hi everyone. I need to test for a moderation effect in a mixed model ANOVA. When I go to the "repeated measures define factors" box in SPSS, I know that I would enter my DV (time) and number of levels in the within subjects-factors box, and my group/condition in the "measure name" slot. Do I put in the moderating variable in this "measure name" slot as well, or do I need to create an interaction term of condition*moderator and enter that in? Or would both of these be completely wrong?
spunky Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 well a 'moderation' is an interaction between two variables so the [condition X moderator ] term would give you what you want. so yeah, make an interaction between the two and that goes in your model.
spunky Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 this is the 3rd question about methods/statistics in psychology that we've got in this forum. i think we should open shop here as a free, hands-on statistical consulting...thingy. educdoc 1

Roll Right Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Yeah, we might as well have a dedicated thread for statistics.
