Hi everyone. I need to test for a moderation effect in a mixed model ANOVA. When I go to the "repeated measures define factors" box in SPSS, I know that I would enter my DV (time) and number of levels in the within subjects-factors box, and my group/condition in the "measure name" slot. Do I put in the moderating variable in this "measure name" slot as well, or do I need to create an interaction term of condition*moderator and enter that in? Or would both of these be completely wrong?

well a 'moderation' is an interaction between two variables so the [condition X moderator ] term would give you what you want. so yeah, make an interaction between the two and that goes in your model.

this is the 3rd question about methods/statistics in psychology that we've got in this forum. i think we should open shop here as a free, hands-on statistical consulting...thingy.
