Any idea how long you have to accept your admission to the program you're applying for?

It all varies. It will definitely be specified in acceptance letters/emails. If you have a specific program in mind searching through these forums may help you

I agree^ When they send you an acceptance letter they usually send a timeframe too. You an always ask for an extension if you feel you need one. Students will do this when they are waiting to hear back form other schools. Though, remember, deposits are non-refundable! (for the most part).

How long did it take after submitting your application to hear back from CSUDH and CSULB?

I applied in October and I got notification this month.

Do you have experience with asking for an extension to accept? I wouldn't know what to say to even ask.

Yeah I asked usc for an extension. They gave me an additional two weeks. Though I assume it depends on the school.
