Quiet Forums...What Does It Mean?

While this is my first application cycle, I've read a lot of other posts lately about how things are much quieter on this forum now than they have been in previous years. Do you think this means anything? Possibly a slower year for applications?

 

I think I'm just anxious waiting to hear back haha but I've been thinking a bit about it. One admissions counselor I spoke to told me that their acceptance rate varies a lot year to year, and that they've had instances of accepting the entire waitlist as well as rejecting almost all of those applicants, all depending on the volume of applications. Just wondering if anyone else has this on their mind!

I agree completely! Not sure if the people applying this year are unaware of this site or there are less applicants this year. I think, however, that it is largely due to the tendency of many applicants to apply at the last minute. So it's likely we'll see a surge in posts after the deadlines. Hoping that isn't the case though! *crosses fingers*
