So my worst nightmare came true, my CSDCAS app could not be processed and therefore it was undelivered. It was a very minor mistake and a quick fix (in fact it could have been fixed in the time it took them to write me an email, but whatever). It says on CSDCAS that after I fix the error it should be verified within the next couple of days. It also says that while my submission date will stay the same (1/14), my completion date will now be 2/11. Does anyone know if this will this effect my application? The apps that were completed on or near the due date will be verified and sent around the same time as mine still plus you aren't allowed to complete an app after it is due on CSDCAS. I am just worried since my complete date will now say 2/11. UGH I HATE CSDCAS.

A similar thing happened to me - CSDCAS told me I needed to send a transcript, that I actually didn't need to send.  When they received it, which was after my submission date (12/30), they emailed me saying my application was now in error and I needed to fix it.  In summary, I had to delete the school from my undergraduate list, that way CSDCAS could delete the transcript from my application.  My complete date, rather than being 12/30 (which it would have been if they didn't tell me I needed to send a transcript at the last minute), turned to 1/9/15.  Thankfully, the schools I applied to required a "Complete Date" of 1/15/15, so I was in the clear.

To get to your question, I just read CSDCAS policies and it does seem that your new completion date may affect your application being accepted by your schools.  My advice is to call your schools ASAP and discuss this with them.  I'm not saying for certain that your application is going to be thrown out by your schools, a lot of them are understanding of the CSDCAS process, but you need to call them and explain what happened.  If when you submitted your application, all of your documents were in and processed by CSDCAS, that should make a difference.  It looks like most of your schools had a "Complete Date Deadline" of 1/15/15, so if you submitted your application on 1/14/15 still missing documentation, then I would say they are not going to make an exception for you.  All in all, I've had a terrible experience with CSDCAS and I sincerely feel for you!  I really truly hope the schools you applied to are able to cut you some slack! Good luck!

I wrote and complained to the director of the programs I applied to through CSDCAS. Surprisingly, many of them said their committees have similar grievances as I do and told me that CSDCAS has caused them many problems as well and therefore intend to vet everything that CSDCAD sends them. Hopefully your school is among them and will do the same.

I second MadGab14's advice. Definitely get in contact with your schools to discuss the situation. I hope it works out!

I had an error in which I mistyped some course names, but once I rectified it, they verified me on the same day. The CSDCAS people said that they would put me in the front of the line once I resubmitted.

Yeah they said the same thing to me, but they didn't hold up their end of the deal, even though it was their mistake. My application didn't get verified until 1/9 rolled around, rather than 12/30 when I orginally submitted. They're the worst haha.

My situation was similar. I had taken courses at a community college and their classes included letters in the course number that I didn't know I had to include (ex: ENG101 was ENGB101). It was a very quick fix and I was told on the phone that they should be fixing it right away. When this happened to you was your complete date drastically changed as well?

Thanks everyone for the feedback... when I submitted my application on 1/14 all my documents were received by CSDACS so I am hoping that schools will be understanding. It was a stupid error and it frustrates me that they make you correct something so minuscule when they have your official transcripts already. I hope I am accepted into a program so I don't have to deal with this BS ever again.

As I remember, the complete date stayed the same, but the verified date was delayed (since I noticed the problem early, they were able to complete verification on the same day, though).

Yeah, a similar thing happened to me where my application was completed in time, but then later undelivered and so it changed my complete date to be past the deadlines for two schools I had already applied to. Like some have already mentioned, contact the schools directly if you have any concerns. One of the schools I applied to said it was fine, and the other one hasn't gotten back to me yet.. but I definitely feel your frustration and hope to never have to do this again!!
