jlgpoint169 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Hello, I'm currently awaiting news to hear about my fall '15 applications and am pretty anxious about it. To ease my anxieties I'm trying to think about a 'plan B' if I don't get in anywhere. If I don't get in this year I'm thinking about looking at online programs and pursuing this path online so I can work at the same time. Can anyone share info about online part-time programs? The ones I know about are Nova and University of Wisconsin Eau Claire - are there any others? I'm in New York State, would I be able to get NYS licensure if I got my degree out of state? Also, in terms of getting relevant work experience, should I be pursuing a position at a special needs school? I think my main obstacle to getting in this year will be my lack of hands on work experience - I'm a career changer (former broadcast new producer) and am a parent to a special needs child, but I don't have any true 'work experience' in the field. Thanks for any advice! Edited February 12, 2015 by jlgpoint169
