polarbeara Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) Hi everyone! I got wait listed at one of my top schools today. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat. While I'm thrilled that it's not a rejection, I'm finding myself already struggling with the wait and it's only been a few hours!! What are everyone's thoughts about contacting a school to see what spot you are on the wait list? I know some schools won't tell you, and some don't even rank the people on their wait list until after April 15th, but it would be nice to hear about peoples' opinions and past experiences to help pass the time. Holly44 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I don't see anything wrong with contacting the school regarding your place on the list. Most will usually tell you if you're at the top or not. Either way, it can't hurt you. Good luck to you!!

I would be curious to know if those schools that do interviews and you do not get an interview is it still possible to be on their wait list?

I applied to St. Cloud State University, but didn't get an interview. Their interviews are this Friday and they usually send out decisions a few days after so I guess I'll find out soon. I did end up e-mailing to see what spot I am on the wait list...hopefully they'll be able to tell me. It would make the waiting much less stressful. NSSLHANerd 1
