ThePlato Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 PhD in Marketing(Quant) Uconn School of Business Locale Marketing as a discipline leading to a wider array of future research possibilities Job prospects(apparent) Proximity to NY PhD in Information & Decision Sciences : Carlson School of Business [university of Minnesota] School's reputation Ranking[both seem biased by MBA rather than research but still] Some city life A greater comfort with the initial courses. These are my options with full and nearly equal funding. My research interests seem to be equally catered by both but leading in different directions. Any suggestions on how should I choose?
MapsAndPlans Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) Carlson School of Business has Kathleen Vohs, and I think she is an amazing researcher... so I'd pick that school I don't know your research interests, but that's how I'd make my choice! Edited March 7, 2015 by MapsAndPlans ThePlato 1
quaker13 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I don't know about info sci and decisions but, for marketing, carlson is heads and shoulders above uconn. uconn is a decent school but carlson is top-notch. ThePlato 1
