I have applied for a Masters in Health Administration at three schools. Medical University of South Carolina, UNC Charlotte and Hofstra University. So far Ive gotten responses from MUSC and UNCC. Is anybody familiar with any of these campuses and/or the MHA programs? Any suggestions or info?

I work fulltime and unfortunately cannot afford to visit both financially and work-wise so any information would be sooo helpful!

Though I've found that not every school is receptive to this, most are... E-mail the admissions office and briefly explain your situation and what you are interested in (not sure if there's MHA concentrations or if you plan on doing research or anything, but include that). Ask who the best person to speak with would be and set up a brief call with them. Have your questions written out beforehand and it'll be a pretty quick and informative call for you. I would also ask for some student contact info so you can get a feel for what the program is actually like.

@RD0326, I live in Charleston and work at MUSC, and will be moving to Charlotte soon. BUT if MUSC had the program I was looking for, I'd stay here for sure. There's so much to do, it's a beautiful city with tons of beaches, festivals, events downtown, etc. MUSC has also been the best place I've ever worked and the students I've spoken with seem to be very happy.

Since I haven't really experienced Charlotte yet I can't say too much about it in particular, but it doesn't seem as lively as Charleston. I'd come to Charleston if I had the chance. :) Feel free to message me if you want any more info!
