Jakky
Hello all, I busted most (i got accepted into 1 but not going...) of my applications this year so im reapplying next year and take a year off. Question, should I retake GRE? Quantitative: 170 (98%) Reading: 158 (78%) AWA: 3.5 (dont remember percentile 40s) GPA is 3.3 and have research experiences from my school only, won a competition with my project Bioengineering if that helps. I think I could do better on the writing part but not sure how much that helps.
Crucial BBQ
Tough call. I know some of the programs I am interested in want an AW score of 4.5, but I am not sure how much of a deterrent a lower score would be in particular since you would show writing ability through the SOP and/or a writing sample. It wouldn't hurt to contact those programs that rejected you to inquire where your application are deficient and go from there.
velua
Retake to get a 4.5 on writing unless you really think you got lucky on the other 2 sections and can't reproduce those results. Even so, a 167Q, 155V, 4.5A is probably better for bio.
