bbdd2 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 So i got this email after an inquiry into the status of my admission at my second best choice(Got an admit at my top choice already) but i was wondering how they got to know i got in somewhere else!! Although i did send a hard copy of my GRE with all the schools i applied to listed on it. Dear xxxxx On behalf of the selection committee,Your application has thoroughly reviewed by our faculty, and it is with great regret that I inform you that we are unable offer you admission in to our program.............................................. ............................................... ........................................... Please know that the disappointment we feel in sending you this news is tempered by our knowledge that YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL AT THE INSTITUTION YOU CHOOSE TO ATTEND. We wish you the best in your future endeavors, and for success in your GRADUATE STUDIES elsewhere.

autumnreads Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I agree that that kind of statement is used generally in rejection letters. It's their way of lessening the blow of being rejected by stating that they're sure you'll do great somewhere else. Congrats on getting in to your top choice!!
