cheesethunder Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 is virginia generally a very hard school to get into? i was looking there or cornell then i saw that you needed high 600s for social psyc at viringia on gres =/
lookitssara Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 I personally think so, for the school/clinical program anyways. My GRE scores and GPA were above or at average for those admitted, I had great letters of rec...and I didn't even score an interview. I will note that on the school/clinical page, they have a mini-bio for all the students, and I noticed the vast majority of them were SUPER STARS and/or had done clinical-esque things after undergrad before they entered the program (so maybe this is something they look very favorably on). My guess is that UVA is much more competitive than people assume.
cheesethunder Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 i know clinical programs are insane to get into everywhere, but im not from the states so i only thought ivey league schools were hard to get into haha, thats why i was confused when i was lookin at virginia, even duke since i had never heard of them.
