DaylilyLXX Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I am admitted by NYU and submit my i20 application at the beginning of April, but I still receive nothing, even no automatic response through the online form they provide to check for i20 application. So worried!
MathCat Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I'm not going to NYU, but mine is still being processed, their webpage estimates it will be about 2-3 more weeks. If you are worried, you should contact the international student office.

So worried! Same here~ I think their office is extremely busy right now. They did ask me to resubmit my application because of some problem with my original application though. So it means they're really working on processing the application. But beyond that, no news, no update and no reply to any inquiry so far.

If you are worried, you should contact the international student office. Thanks for your instruction. I do contact with them through email once, they did not give me any directly answer, just say they are doing their job. I am afraid too much questions would bother them. Through other NYU students' suggestion, it seems they just work slow and they always slow, so I guess I have to wait.

They did ask me to resubmit my application because of some problem with my original application though. So it means they're really working on processing the application. But beyond that, no news, no update and no reply to any inquiry so far. This is exactly what I worried. I am worried after a long waiting period, they say my materials have problem, and I resubmit my application, and then all the endless waiting start again! Finally I would have no time for my visa. :( But still, hearing that they are actually doing something is quite a relife, afterall they are working.
techboy Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Still waiting for my I-20, visa and tickets. I need to get the latter as early as possible right after getting my visa. Costs will rise very quickly!

Costs will rise very quickly! Totally agree!!!Education is expensive, not mention the cost of NYU. For money, I want to save whatever can be saved. So I am gonna buy my ticket before I get my visa, I know it is kind of risky but I heard the application is not difficult for the F-1.
techboy Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I received my I-20 by DHL. Very surprised they didn't ask to pay for it now visa interview soon...
MathCat Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I just got my I-20. I had to pay $40USD to get it couriered, and they left it in a puddle at my door, and didn't even knock to say it was there. Yay UPS...
MissingBlue Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Got mine! I was super nervous because our mailing service is very dodgy. On to the visa!
shinigamiasuka Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 After I submitted all of the necessary documents (passport scan and evidence of financial support), they had the I-20 ready in less than a week and requested me to receive it via e-ship global (offered no other options). It took ~4.5 days to arrive (chose FedEx, $54.36).
