rlattin Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Hey guys, I'm interested in a M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies. I want one that will allow me an easy transition into government agencies or Think tanks. Does anyone know which are the top schools for this, also does anyone know where I can find a list of the top programs in general? What does it take to get into these places, I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Arizona's Near Eastern Studies Program, speak Hebrew, am working on Arabic, and lived in Israel for a year. Hope someone can shed some light on some of this stuff. Thanks
Parisienne Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I don't know about any list of top Middle Eastern departments, but from what I know/heard, UMich (Ann Arbor) has a great Middle Eastern Studies department/Center for Middle Eastern & North African Studies (they have Mark Tessler I think). Columbia's department is really good too (my opinion at least; I took a few classes there as an exchange student).
