Duke, Harvard, Dartmouth, CGU, UCSF

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I recently got into a PH program at Harvard for the summer and the:

MPH - Biostats & Epi (CGU)

MS Healthcare Research (Dartmouth)

MS Global Health (Duke)

Got waitlisted:

MS Global Health (UCSF)

I'm really confused on what to choose. My plan is to enter medical school in the 2016-2017 academic year and later join the Navy as a physician hoping to use my Masters in this way.

The problem I'm facing is that Duke is a 3 semester program that I'll have to finish in one year (12 months) and that the other programs seem to get mixed reviews on quality on various forums.

My goal is to become a Navy medical officer after med school and serve on humanitarian missions abroad. When my service is over I would ideally work with a non profit in focusing in on a community health (particularly mental health).

These are all unranked for various reasons so how do you all go about choosing?

Thank you!
