amyeray Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I have been out of undergrad for 2 years now and am looking at going back to grad school fall 2011. My major in undergrad was hands on conservatory style training.. not a lot of research. How do you go about getting more research experience? What exactly do you have to do? Does it only count if your research leads to publication? I have a topic that I'm already very interested in researching, but I don't know where to go with it. Help please!
socialcomm Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Your research doesn't HAVE to lead to publication, but it makes it more impressive if it is. Or if you can present it at an industry conference. A lot of people will complete a master's program before applying to PhD programs to gain research experience.
