is Direct PhD a good option?

Hi guys,

Is Direct PhD a good option?

I may get an offer for that one.

It is an Australian university, so the PhD is only 3 years.. 

My goal is to do a post-doc in one of first top ten universities in US..

What do you think?

I applied also to a Canadian university for a master,,,,

I'll be the first to say I don't have experience in your field, but I do know what degree you need depends on your career path. If you're interested in teaching or researching, by all means get the Ph.D. now. If you're interested in actually working in civil engineering, though, you might want to look at job listings to see what employers require; otherwise, you might become overqualified and so have a harder time getting a job.

Harder to overseas scholars to compete in the U.S. job market, especially when they complete three-year programs.
