Tent Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Please consider all options before applying to the UH CSD program. The program at UH Manoa should not be accredited for 8 years and would benefit from being audited for a week. Numerous complaints by students do not get reported because of intimidation by staff members. Students will receive the necessary grades to pass despite not having earned the grade to 'keep the numbers up'. Out of state students will be unaware of the reputation the CSD program has in the state of Hawaii; therefore, please consider the value of your education and the education, experience, and research completed by the staff members at UH compared to professors at other institutions before applying. Keep in mind, staff turnover rate in one year was 100% excluding the graduate dean, accountant, and secretary. Students are helpless, unhappy and a change needs to come from ASHA to benefit the profession of speech pathology in the state of Hawaii.
frangieyan Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 i was accepted last year but rejected it bc the tuition fee is too high...
izzobby Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Wow, is it really that bad? I don't think I would even mind the "keep the numbers up" thing because my undergrad school was so harsh and merciless that I wouldn't mind a slower pace...the rest sounds pretty troubling though.

Also very curious to learn more!
SpeechLaedy Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 I've heard similar things about Touro College but not sure how true it all is. How did you get this info on UH?
Ccgrl1 Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Do you mind elaborating? UH Mānoa is my top school mainly because of location.
