calikt Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Hi everyone. I am new here. I have my BS in Respiratory Therapy and hoping to get my masters in speech path. I've been doing some research and seeing I need to do a post bac online. I'm currently looking for online programs. Does anyone have any experience with this? Where did you go? How long did it take? I was looking at UWEC. It says that it only takes 10 months. Thanks!

If you maintain a 4.0 GPA they automatically admit you into the online masters program (at least, as of last year). I'm also an RT - welcome aboard!
slporbust2016 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 USU has a program where you can get a second BS in COMD. I did that as I wanted to be able to list my second degree on things in the future. I did it in four semesters because I took an extra class and didn't go full-time two of those semesters, but you can do it in 3.
Crimson Wife Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Aside from UWEC, USU, and CSUN there are also Eastern NM and ID State. If you're looking to apply to the Cal States, both San Jose State and CSU East Bay in Hayward accept out-of-field applicants and you just go 3 years instead of 2 for the master's. Sac State and SF State require the 2nd bachelor's and I'm not sure about the other CSU's.
jazspeaks Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) I have am just about to finish up my post-bac from University of Alaska. It's a good program. Classes are in semesters, online, about $750 each, and scheduled once a week 4:30-7:00pm AK time. If you take all the classes, it counts as an SLP minor now. They don't have everything you need for most schools though, so I have just enrolled in 3 classes from University of Montana as well. These are more expensive, about $950, have different semester schedules, and are asynchronous. I think both programs take about 2 years. Best of luck! Edited December 23, 2015 by jazspeaks
